Digital Signature Certificates or DSC or Digital Signature is an encrypted electronic signature of a person and are being adopted by various government agencies. It’s a statutory requirement in various applications. The Signatures are stored in encrypted USB drivers which can be only accessed only by password. The main vendors for digital signature in India are Sify, E-Mudhra and N-Code.

Sign
Sign DSC can only be used for signing documents. The most popular usage of is signing the PDF file for Tax Returns, MCA and other websites. Signing via DSC gives the assurance of not only the integrity of the signer but also the data. It is proof of untampered and unaltered data.
Encrypt
Encrypt DSC can only be used to encrypt a document, it is popularly used in the tender portal, to help companies encrypt the documents and upload. You could also use the certificate to encrypt and send classified information. Encrypt DSC is fit for e-commerce documents, legal documentation and sharing documents that are highly confidential and contains information that needs to be protected. We are selling Encrypt certificate as a standalone product as well.
Sign & Encrypt
Our Sign & Encrypt DSC can be used for both signing and encrypting. It is convenient for users who need to authenticate and maintain the confidentiality of the information shared. Its usage includes filing government form and application.

Class 2 Digital Signature Certificate
It is used in various form-filling, online registration, email attestation, income tax filing and etc. More uses of Class 2 Digital Signature Certificates are given below.

Class 3 Digital Signature Certificate
Class 3 digital signature certificate according to IVG guideline is more secure in comparison to class 2 certificate, this is the safest of all certificates. It is used in matters of high security and safety. Following are the main functions of Class 3 certificates –

Documents Required for Digital Signature Certificate
The Class 2 DSC is issued for business personnel and private individuals, and used for submitting various forms with the Government of India. To obtain this DSC, the applicants are required to submit necessary documents along with the digital signature form to the service provider. The type of documents varies depending on the applicant type:
- Indian Individuals
- Identity Proof (Mandatory):
- PAN
- Aadhar Card
- Residential Proof:
- Aadhar Card
- Passport
- Driving License
- Voter Card
- Latest Utility Bill having the address
- GST/ VAT Tax/ Sales Tax registration certificate
The details of the residential proof should match with the PAN card. In case there is a spelling mistake, needs to be corrected before the submission.

- Indian OrganisationAll organisations: Company, Partnership, Proprietorship, AOP/BOI, LLP, NGO/Trust can provide the following documents:
- Applicant’s organisational ID card / letter from organisation / pay slip
- Organisation’s PAN Card
- Authorized signatory organisational ID Card / Self-attested letter of organisational identity
- Bank Statement
- Last Income Tax Return / Audit Report & Annual Return / Self Affidavit with reason, if not available (first 2 pages)
- Incorporation/Registration Certificate
- AOA & MOA
Proprietorship firm can provide a Copy of Business Registration Certificate (S&E / GST / VAT).
- Foreign Individuals
- Applicant Passport
- VISA (If applicant is out of native country)
- Resident Permit certificate (If applicant is in India)
- As Address Proof, they can furnish an attested copy Applicant Passport or any other Government issued Address Proof.
For address proof, they should furnish an attested copy for both Applicant Passport and any other Government issued Address Proof, while submitting their digital signature form.
- Validity of Digital SignaturesUnlike PAN or Director Identification Number (DIN), DSCs are not valid for life. DSCs are usually valid for one, two years or three years and at end of its validity must be renewed.
