Company Name Change
According to the Section 13 of the companies Act 2013, a company’s name can be changed by passing a resolution in the board meeting. It can be changed by the consent of the shareholders and by the MCA’s approval. There can be several reasons to change the name of the company, for example, change in the nature of the business, conversion from private limited to public limited, change in management, etc. Approval from the Central Government and then updating with the Registrar of Companies (RoC) is necessary for the change to come into effect. does not affect its legal or corporate identity.
